友善環境－佛館七國語言網站正式上線

The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum was officially opened in 2011. Since then, it has been visited by more than 12 millions visitors from about 100 countries.Owing to the rapid growth of international tourists, it became important for the museum to provide basic translation services in different languages for foreign visitors. The International Affairs Team, in collaboration with international volunteers from different countries, started to compile information and translate them into different languages.

佛光山佛陀紀念館自2011年開館以來，每年參觀人次高達1200萬，分別來自世界各地約100個國家。鑒於來訪的外國旅客快速成長，如何針對各國旅客提供不同語言的基本介紹也成了博物館非常重要的課題。佛館國際組為此集結來自世界各地的國際義工，一同進行基本資訊的彙整、進行各國語言的翻譯。

Following the launch of the English website in September 2015, sites in other languages were subsequently released in January and February 2017. Visitors may also look up information on the Buddha Museum in the Wikipedia pages in various languages. With these online translated web resources, we hope visitors gain a basic understanding of the historical background, attractions, transportation information and museum collections prior to arriving. At the Buddha Museum, visitors are free to enjoy guided tours while receiving information on recommended routes and introduction to the museum. They will also be updated on the current exhibitions by our staff and volunteers at the Information Desk.

2015年9月佛館英文網頁正式上線，緊接著在2017年1月至2月期間，各種語言的網頁也接連上線。同時在維基百科(Wikipedia)上也提供各種語言的簡介。希望藉此讓各國旅客來館之前，就能對佛館的歷史背景、景點特色、來館交通和典藏品能有基本的認識。更能在來館後，藉由參加免費導覽，對佛館有更深入的了解。
