國際義工不一樣的春節

Every year, millions of visitors fromall the world take part in Fo Guang Shan New Year Festival of Light and Peace.This year, to meet the increasingnumber of foreign visitors,the Buddha Museum International Affairs Team designed leaflets in various languages to complement the New Year event map.The leaflets include suggested itineraries, New Year highlights, and information on stamp collection. The Team also offers guided tours in English,Japanese, Korean,German and Vietnamese.

每逢佛光山春節平安燈法會，人潮蜂擁而至，近年來館的外國遊客也明顯增加，為此佛館國際組特別設計了佛館春節指南，結合推薦路線、春節亮點和集印說明，同時提供包含英文、日文、韓文、德文、越南文的免費導覽。

During this New Year season, volunteers from various countries gather at the Information Desk to provide assistance for international visitors. Huynh Thanh Lan from Vietnam graduated from theBuddhist college many years ago, and has volunteered at Fo Guang Shan since then. The Museum received the largest number of foreign visitors from Vietnam,and her volunteering service at the Museum has proved to be inevitably beneficial as a bridge to both the Museum and the visitors.

新春期間，國際人士服務台更聚集來自世界各地的外語義工和員工，一同為各國旅客提供諮詢。來自越南的黃清蘭多年前畢業於佛學院，來山服務多年，此次春節期間，來館外國遊客中最多的國家即是越南，她的服務也因此成為連結佛館與旅客之間最不可或缺的橋樑。

Jeong Eun Mi, a Korean teacher who has visited Taiwan every winter for the past five years volunteered at the Museum for the first time. Through translations and proofreading,she developed a deeper understanding about Venerable Master Hsing Yun and Fo Guang Shan. With this knowledge, she was able to relate them to Korean visitorsat the information desk.

韓語老師鄭銀美，過去五年間，每年冬季都會來台灣，今年初次來到佛館服務。在協助文宣翻譯與校對的過程中，也加深了其對星雲大師的理念的體悟，也因此在服務台服務時，更能運用這份知識接引來自韓國的遊客。

Hsu Han-Hua, a John Hopkins University graduate and a Taiwanese-Korean who considered Fo Guang Shan to be her second home, volunteers at the monastery every Chinese New Year with her Taiwanese father and Korean mother. The family began volunteering at FGS ten years ago, when Han-Hua’s mother realized her wish she made at the Main Shrine.To redeem her pledge, the family started volunteering and has since become their family custom to reunite at FGS every Chinese New Year.

台韓混血的義工徐韓華，畢業於美國約翰．霍普金斯大學，將佛光山當成她第二個家，每年春節都會與父母一同來佛光山服務。這一切都起源於十年前韓華的母親曾在佛光山大雄寶殿許下心願，後來願望實現後，為了還願，全家開始在佛光山當義工，如今這也成為一家人每逢春節團圓的習俗！
