A group of tour guides situated in Kaohsiung have formed the Kaohsiung Elite Foreign Language Tour Guide Association (KEFLTGA) in order to increase their knowledge. Through the help of Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, a whole day tour was organized twice for these tour guides where they get to enjoy, for the first time, what it is like being a tourist. Many of them have brought groups of visitors to the museum in the past.

Apart from interacting with the professional tour guides of the Buddha Museum, they also had a brief meeting with the team leader of the International Affairs Team where they learnt about Ven. Master Hsing Yuns goals for the museum. All participants diligently took notes and asked many questions.

One of the tour guides noted that he was always so busy that he never had a proper meal here. But now that he is actually a visitor, having a meal at the Camphor Grove Tea House made him quite emotional. Many other guides noted that experiencing calligraphy and Tea & Chan left strong impressions on them. They believe they have learned a lot from the experience. They thanked the organizers and hope that there will be more chances to enjoy a day at the Buddha Museum in the future.
