Covid-19 Update

Due to increasing cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at home and abroad, the Buddha Museum has postponed or cancelled the following activities in accordance with the regulations of the Central Epidemic Command Center.

1. The opening ceremony and keynote forum of the “Buddhist Maritime Silk Road - New Media Art Exhibition” originally scheduled for May 16th (Sun), 14:00 at the Great Enlightenment Auditorium, is postponed till further notice.

2. The opening ceremony and educational lectures of “The Earthly Pond – Artworks of Lotus by Chang Dai-Chien and Other Artists” originally scheduled for May 18th (Tue), at 10:30 at the Main Hall lobby, is postponed till further notice.

3. The “Enshrinement of the Buddha's Tooth Relic for Public Veneration” and “Bringing Home the Fo Guang Big Buddha” Ceremony originally scheduled for May 15th (Sat) are cancelled.

4. Activities originally scheduled from May 16th (Sun) to June 8th (Tue) at the Twin Pavilions are cancelled.


The Buddha Museum remains open to the public with strengthened measures in epidemic prevention. Exhibitions are made available in both the galleries and online.
