New Year Festival of Light and Peace

Holding true to the event theme of “cultivation of merit through faith, creation of a legacy of wisdom, ushering in the future with creativity, and purification of mind through arts and culture”, we welcome devotees and public alike to experience the peace, warmth, and motivational energy of the New Year Festival of Light and Peace.

Buddha's Birthday Celebrations

May

The Buddha's Birthday, also known as "Bathing the Buddha Day," falls on the 8th of the fourth lunar month. The Buddha's Birthday was celebrated by bathing the statues of Prince Siddhartha. Another activity to celebrate the event is the Public Veneration of the Buddha's Tooth Relic. Special Buddha's Birthday Meals will also be made.

International Museum Day

May 18th

The objective of International Museum Day (IMD) is to raise awareness about the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.” Events and activities planned to celebrate IMD on or around 18 May each year.

International Book Fair and Vegetarian Expo

November

The International Book Fair and Vegetarian Expo is organized annually with these four aims: 1. to promote Cloud and Water Mobile Libraries; 2. to promote reading; 3. to celebrate the graduation of remote school children; and 4. to promote the Good Seedlings program.

When Buddha Meets the Gods

December 25th

The "When Buddha Meets the Gods" event is held on the 25th of December every year. Each year, different religious representatives from home and abroad join in this event to celebrate religious harmony and world peace. This event has started a new chapter in the history of religion, and highlights the interaction between different religions.
