陳惠度於剡山射孕鹿，既傷，產下小鹿，以舌 舐子身乾，母鹿乃死。
惠度見之慘然，遂棄弓矢為僧。

Chen Huidu shot a pregnant reindeer at Mount Shan. The reindeer was wounded, but managed to give birth. She used her tongue to lick dry the young reindeer’s body before she died.
Huidu, seeing this tragic scene, abandoned his bow and arrow to become a monk.
