佛陀為眾生廣說八萬四千法門，從各種聽經聞法、佛經薰習而領略教理是為「解門」，依循教理實踐修行是為「行門」，八宗祖師其實是行解兼修的，如星雲大師所說：「將書本所學的知識與生活的體驗連接起來，知行合一，解行並重。」即是人生修行道路的不二法門。凝視八宗祖師雖經歷了許多滄桑和困蹇，但卻澆不熄弘揚佛法的信念，他們的精神與典範將永遠常懷世人心中，佛光普照。
These are located along the front of the Main Hall. They depict the founding patriarchs of the Eight Mahayana Schools of Chinese Buddhism and were designed by the Taiwanese sculptor Wu Jung-Tzu.
